Blue smoke, runs bad, oil in exhaust plugged the converters. The first thing you should have done is a leak down test on all cylinders. Not a compression test that's a waste of time. Hook up the leakdown tester set the pressure to 30 psi and slowly turn the engine by hand. When both valves close you will see the pressure start to rise. Then turn the air pressure up to 100psi. The second gauge should go to less the 3 percent leakage. If one cylinder has a large amount of leakage then see where the air is leaking from. Remove the oil cap and check for crankcases. Check the intake and exhaust pipe. You can determine what failed. Piston or which valve. My guess from what you said is you have a damaged piston then metal went through the motor and the oil blow bye killed the converters. Leakdown test will tell you which cyl Then you can buy a cheep scope that connects to your phone and go through the sparkplug hole to look at the piston and cyl walls. All this should have been done first.
